WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Students of classes 7th to 12th of CBSE, State and Central Syllabus who seek an opportunity to present their talents in learning Mathematics and Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are eligible to participate. There is no bar on the number of students from one school to participate in the Congress. The students should prepare a Research Paper or Technical Paper based on the projects or assignments given by the teachers during the course of their study in the current academic year or based on their own choice of scientific enquiry and findings.

HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE?

Students have to register with the 150 word abstract of their scientific work / science contribution in any of the following broad subjects, through their respective schools if possible or individually in the prescribed Registration Format attached at the end of this brochure.

1. Mathematics
2. Physics
3. Chemistry
4. Biology
5. General Science

Your Abstract should contain the following

  • Title for your paper
  • Name of the presenter with school address and phone number.
  • A brief outline of the importance of the work, objective of the study, methodology used for the study, salient findings, your recommendations and conclusions.

FULL PAPER/ FULL PROJECT WORK SUBMISSION :

Full paper or write up of the scientific work has to be presented to the judges in soft copy on the day of the video presentation. The last slide of the presentation should have the abstract. No need to send the email or school address.

PRESENTATION

Power Point or Overhead Projector Presentation for maximum 10 minutes will be allowed. In the case of Power Point Presentation, students, either in team of two or one, can either prepare their presentation in pen drives and hand over the same to the person-in-charge at least half an hour before the start of the session. LCD/Overhead projectors and Computers will be provided.


REGISTRATON FEE

Rs.350/- per student delegate will have to be paid to Shastra 2022 - 23 either through the School of the student or directly to the Treasurer, Shastra - Children’s Science Congress
It is also possible to send DD in favor of the Treasurer, Shastra- Children’s Science Congress payable at Cochin to the Science Congress Office Address.

  • Last Date of Registration - 01.11.2023
  • Date of Submission of Abstract - 03.11.2023
  • Date of the Children’s Science Congress – 17.11.2023 & 18.11.2023
  • Registration Fee Rs.350/- (per student delegate)
